Salvation

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Do you know where you'll spend eternity? The Bible promises you can know for certain that Heaven is your home.

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13

1. All Have Sinned

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

No one is good enough to reach Heaven solely based on their own merits. Our best efforts are like "polluted garments" before a holy God (Isaiah 64:6). No matter how good we try to be, we all still fall short of perfection.

2. Penalty of Sin

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

God is a perfect and righteous judge and sin cannot exist in His presence in Heaven. Because of this, sin carries a serious penalty: death—which is eternal separation from God in Hell.

3. Christ's Sacrifice

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

God loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross in our place. Three days later Jesus rose from the dead, proving He is God and He alone has power to forgive sin and give eternal life. We do not have to go to Hell because Jesus Christ paid the price for our sin.

4. Trust Jesus

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

The way to Heaven is simple: turn from sin and trust Jesus completely. Believe that He died and rose again for you.

Receive Jesus as Your Personal Savior Today

"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

If you're ready to trust Jesus as your Savior, you can pray a prayer like this to confess Him as Lord:

"Lord Jesus, I admit I'm a sinner and deserve Hell because of my sin. I confess my sins to You and ask You to forgive me. I invite You into my life as my Lord and Savior. I'm trusting You and You alone to save me, believing You died on the cross in my place and rose again. Thank You for saving me. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer and trusted Christ or would like to talk with someone about making that decision, please reach out to us today. We would love to walk alongside you as you begin your new life in Christ!
